The legendary CHANEL J12 collection continues to go from strength to strength with 2024&rsquo;s additions.

Last year, the CHANEL Watchmaking Creation Studio introduced the J12 Calibre 12.1, featuring luxurious yellow gold for the first time. This emblematic timepiece, available in striking black or white ceramic, seamlessly blends masculine and feminine aesthetics. The resplendent yellow gold bezel and crown, along with the dial's refined gold accents and details, create an exquisitely unforgettable design. Directed by Chastaingt, the studio also added a yellow gold-plated oscillating weight to reflect CHANEL Watchmaking's signature style.

Designers' creative visions are then expertly brought to life by Swiss master watchmakers in the manufacture, ensuring each piece fully embodies CHANEL's legacy of excellence. This material, with its intense black colour, exceptional durability, and seven times the resistance of steel, is also lighter and softer to the touch. Ceramic has since become a hallmark of CHANEL watchmaking. The manufacture meticulously oversees the entire production process of this extraordinary material and the watches crafted from it. Since the J12's debut, artisans have honed unparalleled expertise, applying it at every stage of ceramic component fabrication for the collection and other magnificent CHANEL watches.

At 2024&rsquo;s edition of Watches &amp; Wonders, CHANEL once again astounds with brilliant new releases to the J12 collection. Also featuring the revolutionary Calibre 12.1, these timepieces are set to become new classics and favourite for watch enthusiasts around the globe.
The J12 38mm Calibre 12.1 Yellow Gold Diamonds Bezel comes as a masterpiece that merges yellow gold with dazzling diamonds. Available in both black and white ceramic, this luxurious watch features a bezel adorned with 50 brilliant-cut diamonds and a dial set with 12 brilliant-cut diamonds. The Caliber 12.1, is still visible through its sapphire crystal caseback with CHANEL&rsquo;s signature circular oscillating weight. The watch is a chronometre-certified automatic movement, crafted at the Swiss Manufacture Kenissi (co-owned by CHANEL) and boasts an impressive 70-hour power reserve to epitomise precision and elegance.

CHANEL achieved a significant milestone with the introduction of the J12 33MM watch in 2022. Upgraded with a self-winding movement, this technical marvel exemplifies the expertise of CHANEL Watchmaking. Also designed by Arnaud Chastaingt, the Director of the CHANEL Watchmaking Creation Studio, the J12 33MM debuted with the unprecedented Calibre 12.2 inside, marking a new chapter in the iconic J12 watch&rsquo;s story.
The Calibre 12.2 is assembled by the Swiss Kenissi Manufacture, and it is truly a miniaturised marvel, with each component meticulously readjusted for exceptional performance. This movement is chronometre-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) and offers a 50-hour power reserve. Similar to the Calibre 12.1, this watch has been made available in highly resistant black or white ceramic. This year&rsquo;s Watches &amp; Wonders also saw further updates and additions to this collection.
The new J12 Calibre 12.2 watches have been given dazzling embellishments to feature diamonds on the dial and on the bezel. This elegant timepiece is now available in three stunning versions.

The first version, the J12 33mm Calibre 12.2 Diamonds Index comes in black or white ceramic and boasts 12 brilliant-cut diamonds on a lacquered dial. The watch is water resistant up to an impressive 200 metres.
The second version, the J12 33mm Calibre 12.2 White, arrives in white ceramic, features 12 brilliant-cut diamonds. This watch has been further embellished with a mesmerising white mother-of-pearl dial. This watch is also water resistant up to 200 metres.
The third version, the J12 33mm Calibre 12.2 Diamonds Bezel, is the most luxurious version and it is available in black or white ceramic. The watch is adorned with 12 brilliant-cut diamonds on its lacquered dial and an additional 46 brilliant-cut diamonds on its steel bezel. This watch is water-resistant up to 50 metres.
