Wynn Signature hosted the International Wine Challenge (IWC) A Feast in Honour of Award-Winning Sakes 2024 from August 2nd to 3rd, 2024.
The event featured a masterclass led by Atsuhide Hoshiyama, a celebrated sake expert and director of the Japan Sommelier Association (JSA), renowned for his prestigious qualifications from the JSA and WSET. Subsequently, a tasting session showcasing IWC 2024 Trophy sakes, including the Champion Sake 2024 winner, Miyakobijin Yaiyou, was presented by representatives from nine distinguished breweries.
Throughout the period, guests could also experience and enjoy a Champion Sake Dinner curated by Wynn&rsquo;s sommelier and Mizumi&rsquo;s Executive Chef Hironori Maeda, a three-time RED U-35 awardee. This affair offered an exquisite pairing menu at the Forbes five-starred Mizumi at Wynn Palace. The peak of the event came in the form of the Gala Dinner on August 3rd which brought together the creators of the nine top-rated Trophy Sakes, featuring their award-winning brews paired with a special menu crafted by Executive Chef Chan Tak Kwong of Michelin-starred Wing Lei at Wynn Macau and Executive Chef Hironori Maeda of Mizumi at Wynn Palace.

This marked the fourth time Wynn hosted the IWC sake events, showcasing its commitment to bringing a diverse array of international gastronomic events to Macao. The events attracted key global figures from the food and beverage industry, alongside top Japanese breweries, in the &ldquo;Creative City of Gastronomy,&rdquo; providing an unparalleled platform for knowledge exchange and fostering discussions.
