Speaking with Marie Laure Trichard to know more about Bell &amp; Ross&rsquo; plans for marketing moving forward.

Marie Laure Trichard is the Head of the Marketing and Communications Department of Bell &amp; Ross and, recently, she arrived in Malaysia primarily for a market visit. Her trip also coincided with a special preview for the Bell &amp; Ross BR-03 94 Blacktrack and the BR 03-92 Diver Tara. Her appointment at Bell &amp; Ross is a positive direction in line with the company's aspirations to excel in the international luxury watch market. Now, she is responsible for overseeing the brand's image and executing its international activation plan.

 <li>Can you share what you think the current market situation in the region?</li>
</ul>
There is so much density in terms of boutiques and malls and it's crazy, the number of watch boutiques and point of sales you have. And that actually is the reason for my coming as well. It&rsquo;s so uncommon, and that's what really stands out.

 <li>What do you think that's most different about our market?</li>
</ul>
I would say that once you&rsquo;re in the luxury industry, it's pretty much the same now everywhere we go. But that's the point &ndash; the global luxury world is to see more of the same. But at the same time, there is difference. For example, with our partners like Cortina or Sincere

 <li>Can you share with us your relationship with the founders Carlos and Bruno and and how is it like spending a day with them?</li>
</ul>
I see them every day and every day, I have points of discussion with them related to business communications, designs and creative ideas. It is their business and they are so much, so much into it. Bruno is the artist being the artistic director and everything goes through him because he really defines the strength of the brand. I think that's one of the strengths of the brand is to have this consistency in the image and he is the one that has this image in mind. And Carlos is the face of the brand. He knows the business approach. It's my first time working with founders of company because in my previous company, the founders were already dead for a long time.

 <li>How does the brand intend to stay ahead, to be a leader in trends and what are the challenges that you face for this?</li>
</ul>
It's to have the right balance between what is your core business, your pillars and to ensure you have new releases on a regular basis. To keep it hot, to present something different because creativity is key. If you just focus on your cores, there will be a lack of creativity.

 <li>In your own words - what is Bell and Ross?</li>
</ul>
To me, it&rsquo;s like a round shape in the square with four screws. It's robust, it's legible and it's bold. And that's the image of the brand. It&rsquo;s about design, minimalism and modernity, of course. Now, there&rsquo;s something that has evolved from the brand. It has been moving from vintage, like aviation, to modern. And I think the brand has now moved to something more balanced with our designs.

 <li>One last question - do you have any special messages for the Bell &amp; Ross fans?</li>
</ul>
People wearing Bell &amp; Ross, they want to stand out. And I want to say, we'll give you like as much as possible so that you can keep on standing out. We love that you don't want to be like everybody else. We love it when you want to express your uniqueness. So let's continue being a community of people who want to be original.
