The Richard Mille Cup comes again in June 2024.

Richard Mille has unveiled the second edition of the Richard Mille Cup. Building on the inaugural event's success, the 2024 Cup is scheduled for June 2nd to 15th, featuring about 12 historic yachts racing down the English Channel. This prestigious regatta shall once again highlight the world's most exceptional vintage yachts vying for the Richard Mille Cup.
Richard Mille expressed, &ldquo;This event creates the perfect backdrop to appreciate the elegance and grandeur of these classic pre-war yachts, while fostering a communal spirit among yacht owners and enthusiasts.&rdquo;
Like last year, the event is expected to draw classic yacht enthusiasts, collectors, and numerous spectators, with thrilling inshore races at the four host ports: Falmouth, Dartmouth, Cowes, and Le Havre. The yachts will also face challenging passage races between these ports, including two overnight legs.
William Collier, the event organizer and a renowned classic yacht expert, remarked, &ldquo;The mix of day and passage races, combined with the chance to explore iconic locations, uniquely defines the Richard Mille Cup and appeals greatly to owners of some of the world's finest yachts. We anticipate a warm reunion and another remarkable edition of this unique sporting event.&rdquo;

The regatta celebrates historical yacht design and craftsmanship. Attendees would see some of the most beautifully preserved and crewed sailing yachts, reflecting authentic vintage styles. The yachts shall visit historic yacht clubs in both England and France, including the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club in Falmouth, the Royal Dart Yacht Club in Dartmouth, the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes, and the Soci&eacute;t&eacute; des R&eacute;gates du Havre in France.
Competing yachts, ranging from the late 19th century to the late 1930s, will race in Schooner and Cutter classes and will feature celebrated designs like Mariquita (1911), Moonbeam III (1903), and Moonbeam IV (1920).
The Richard Mille Cup, designed by Garrard - jewellers to the British Royal Family for three centuries and designers of the America&rsquo;s Cup over 170 years ago - was specially commissioned for the first regatta.&nbsp;The ongoing success of the Richard Mille Cup underscores the brand's commitment to excellence and its dedication to the maritime heritage. This year's event promises to build upon the previous year's foundation, offering a thrilling spectacle for all sailing enthusiasts.
