The French-Swiss watchmaker, Bell &amp; Ross, known for its no-nonsense instrument watches, just cracked the code on urban elegance. By squeezing their iconic BR-05 design into a compact 36mm case while maintaining that signature 8.5mm razor-thin profile, they have created what might be the perfect everyday luxury watch. More than just being a scaled-down version, it is a complete re-engineering job. The BR-05's complex architecture, with its four-screw sealed case construction, had to be completely rethought. The result? A watch that keeps all the BR-05's DNA while finally offering a proper unisex option. The move proves that Bell &amp; Ross understands that some modern watch collectors actually want bold designs that do not sacrifice wearability.

"Every millimeter counts, every millimeter is noticeable," insists Bruno Belamich, the brand's co-founder and creative director. &ldquo;First and foremost, it&rsquo;s important to note that the BR-05 collection has offered various dimensions for several years.Launched in 40mm in 2019, the watch has always evolved, adopting larger sizes for complications: 41mm for GMTs and42mm for chronographs. Design isn&rsquo;t just about ideas; it&rsquo;s about choices. Today, we are clearly choosing to rethink this line to bring it into another dimension. The BR-05&rsquo;s personality, which we aim to make urban-friendly, versatile, and elegant, is designed to meet the expectations of everyday sport-chic watch users. We have reworked its proportion on the wrist, so the bracelet fits more closely to any wearer&rsquo;s morphology. Another key motivation was to make this collection more accessible to women,&rdquo; Belamich adds.

For the new BR-05 36mm, Bell &amp; Ross&rsquo; engineers went full obsessive mode on the dials. Here, you will find razor-sharp hands, chunky numerals, and indexes packed with Super-LumiNova. The colour palette is anything but basic - from murdered-out black to icy blue and iridescent mother-of-pearl, these sunray-blasted lacquer dials give the same watch multiple personalities. The reworked case is a matter of pure architecture. Crisp satin-brushed flats work with pristine polished bevels that catch light like a diamond cutter's dream. Even the bracelet gets a satin-polish combo treatment so fluid it practically hugs the wrist. No compromises and no half measures.
Under the hood, Bell &amp; Ross equipped the 36mm with a fresh mechanical heartbeat, It is a self-winding movement packing a solid 54-hour reserve.
